Purpose:
The Vice President of SEO at Ferocious Media will be responsible and accountable for developing and enhancing the agency’s SEO services and strategies for home services clients. This role will oversee an SEO team focused on the Service Trades, redefining roles and responsibilities as necessary to achieve efficiency and deliver excellent results consistently. The VP of SEO will communicate and collaborate equally well with internal and external teams regarding SEO efforts, results, and strategies. This position is fully remote, and requires some light travel.
Key Functional Area or Responsibility:
- Develop and oversee the overall SEO strategy – including GBP, Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Link Building Efforts, User Experience, Listings & Citations – and deliverables for our home services clients.
- Lead and manage a team of SEO leads, strategists, and specialists, providing guidance, direction, goals, and performance evaluations.
- Thrive in a fast-paced (remote) agency environment, effectively managing and delegating multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
- Contribute to prospective client SEO audits and presentations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate SEO into broader marketing and business initiatives.
- Collaborate with website team, account management team, and paid ads team to coordinate SEO efforts.
- Focus Local SEO strategies, such as GBP optimization, Listings management, Location Pages, Reviews, and Link Building.
- Conduct regular audits of website content, architecture, and backlink profile to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze key SEO metrics, such as Revenue from SEO Efforts, GBP Rankings, keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates, and use insights to make data-driven decisions.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, algorithm updates, and emerging trends to continuously refine and optimize SEO strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SEO-related inquiries, providing expertise and guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, and platforms to support SEO efforts and stay ahead of the competition.
- Refine and Create agency-wide reporting to quickly identify SEO wins and opportunities for clients.
- Deliver Reports in an easily digestible way on revenue, leads, calls, and organic growth.
Requirements:
- Exceptional prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
- Flexible and a proactive approach to problem-solving, readily adjusting strategies as needed.
- 6+ years of Local SEO experience, Demonstrated success in developing and implementing SEO strategies.
- 3+ years focusing on SEO for home services clients in Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Trades.
- 3+ years leading a team
- Expert-level mastering of SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz.
- Expert-level knowledge in Local SEO strategies and tactics such as GBP optimization, Listings Management, and Link Building.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret SEO data and derive actionable insights to develop company strategies and services for home services clients.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities; effective collaboration with teams and leadership.
- Possess a strong intrinsic motivation to stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices through continuous learning, attending relevant trainings, and engaging with the SEO community.
- Knowledge of ServiceTitan and CRM platforms.
