Job Description:
We seek a dynamic individual to join our team as an SEO Team Lead. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Proven track record as a self-starting performer in SEO with a minimum of 5 years of experience (experience in SEO for law firms is a plus).
- Demonstrated leadership in developing talent and driving exceptional team performance and growth.
- Strong communication skills with a natural curiosity and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics 4, Looker/Looker Studio, CallRail, and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
- Actively engaged with SEO journals and newsletters, staying up-to-date on industry trends and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of Google’s quality rater guidelines, Google Search Central blog, SEO starter guides, and related documentation.
- Skilled in monitoring the competitive landscape, identifying emerging tactics, SERP changes, and algorithm updates to adapt strategies.
- Strong belief in the synergy between SEO and user experience, with a focus on optimizing both.
- Innovative approach to leveraging AI to enhance team efficiency with routine tasks.
- Proficiency in content management systems like WordPress, with experience working with engineering teams to improve CMS functionality.
- Native English speaker.
- Experience in a digital marketing agency is a must.
Responsibilities:
As an SEO Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversees the roadmap and ensures timely delivery of all project components, including but not limited to technical, on-page, off-page, Google Business Profile, local search ads, analytics, and tracking.
- Develops strategies to increase organic traffic.
- Participate in monthly client calls, presenting results and reports and comprehensively explaining agenda items while fostering positive client relationships.
- Collaborate with account managers before client calls, addressing client and internal team requests promptly and effectively.
- Provide support and training to internal teams as needed, ensuring everyone is equipped to deliver high-quality work.
- Coordinate with the content team to execute content revamps until clients achieve top rankings on Google for targeted keywords, suggesting page tweaks autonomously to optimize performance.
- Creates complex SEO deliverables when necessary
- Review SEO-related deliverables for timeliness and quality
- Identify & present upsell opportunities
- Work within the US timezone.
