About the Role

As an SEO Specialist, you’ll be responsible for driving organic traffic and improving search rankings across multiple eCommerce websites. You’ll establish and track SEO KPIs, ensuring our strategies are effective while keeping clients updated on progress. Here’s a snapshot of some recent tasks to give you a sense of your daily responsibilities:

  • Crafting SEO-optimized copy for product listing pages (PLPs) featuring 20+ products
  • Identifying and fixing broken internal links (404 errors) and creating redirects to maintain site health
  • Conducting technical SEO audits for potential clients and uncovering strategic growth opportunities
  • Optimizing metadata for over 150 products to align with targeted keywords and improve CTR from the search results
  • Editing HTML in navigation menus to improve SEO and user experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and present SEO opportunities to boost organic traffic and user engagement
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to drive content strategy and improve rankings
  • Create content and optimization schedules based on SEO strategy 
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics via Google Analytics and Search Console, recommending actionable strategies
  • Perform competitor analysis and comprehensive SEO audits for website performance
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices
  • Communicate SEO strategies and results to clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to implement necessary SEO enhancements
  • Create compelling, optimized content including blogs, product descriptions, product listing pages, and landing pages
  • Execute on-page SEO optimizations (titles, headers, image alt text, etc.)
  • Develop and manage link-building initiatives to improve domain authority

What You Will Bring

We are looking for an experienced SEO professional with a deep understanding of eCommerce SEO. You’ll be committed to delivering value and taking ownership of client success beyond fulfilling contractual obligations.

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce SEO
  • Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio and other SEO tools like Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, or BrightEdge
  • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to thorough documentation
  • Experience in client-facing reporting meetings and communication
  • Proficiency in technical SEO, including site structure, mobile optimization, site speed, and more that affect webpage discovery, crawling, indexing, and rankings. 
  • Solid knowledge of internal/external linking strategies
  • Competency in competitive analysis and market research
  • Based in the USA

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with content delivery networks (CDNs) such as Cloudflare or Fastly
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms like BigCommerce or Shopify
  • Project management experience
