Job Title: SEO and Content Specialist
Job Type: Contract Part-Time to Full-Time
Location: Remote (Atlanta would be even better)
Who We Are: Founded by a former global agency leader, previous agency owner and former Fortune 200 marketing executive, Bloomfield Growth Agency now turns its attention to the smaller and midsized world of customers seeking to grow their online presence. Our core offerings are short-form video advertising, Google ads and an intensive approach to SEO that combines technical, on/off page and social media. We are a small team with two three full-time employees and a slew of contractors. We are growing quickly due to our network of partners that regularly feed us new business.
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified SEO and Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong mastery of SEO, both technical and creative, and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive SEO and content strategy to increase our online presence and drive traffic. Candidate will also understand that social posting is an important part of the cross-linking world and will manage clients’ social media posts and presence as part of a holistic organic digital presence.
Key Qualifications:
- Technical SEO: Must hold relevant certifications from Google and have a strong grasp of technical SEO to draft clear requirements for technical changes that developers can implement.
- Keyword Strategy: Ability to conduct in-depth keyword research, analyze current keyword performance, identify high-impact keywords, understand competitive keyword landscape, and provide actionable insights on client ranking within the industry.
- On-Page SEO: Proficiency in deploying on-page SEO best practices and using relevant on-page SEO tools to optimize content. Familiarity with standard SEO templates and guidelines is essential.
- Off-Page SEO: Expertise in building and executing off-page SEO strategies, including link building, influencer outreach, and content syndication to enhance our brand’s authority and online presence.
- Full Competitive Analysis: Capability to perform comprehensive competitive analysis, identifying key factors contributing to competitors’ higher rankings and providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Holistic Content Strategy: Develop and manage a content calendar that aligns with SEO goals, including planning for blog posts, press releases, and social media content. Propose new video content for YouTube integration and cross-promotion on various platforms.
- Content Writing and Editing: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to utilize AI tools for content creation are an absolute must. Hiring manager is a writer so we will be strict on this one. Must ensure all content is refined and edited before publication to maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis to guide content creation.
- Outline detailed technical SEO requirements for website optimization.
- Develop and execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
- Create a detailed content strategy that aligns with SEO findings and business goals and includes on-page optimizations, new pages, blog posts, press releases and social posts.
- Produce and edit high-quality content for various channels, ensuring consistency and brand voice.
- Write and implement social media posts for clients according to content schedule
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to keep strategies effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all marketing efforts.
