Who are we?

Yellowball is a leading London-based digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, PPC & website design, partnering with brands and businesses of all shapes and sizes. With passion, creativity, and a sharp commercial focus embedded in everything we do, we’re trusted by organisations everywhere to deliver real impact and results.

We love what we do and provide a great ROI-focused service. As an agency, we’re quickly scaling both in terms of headcount and the variety of clients we engage with.

Who are we looking for?

Our SEO team is rapidly growing thanks to new, exciting clients coming on board. We’re seeking an SEO Executive to work alongside one of our Senior SEO Account Managers to support on their client accounts, plus run smaller accounts of their own. An ideal candidate would be an SEO Executive or Digital Marketing Executive with two or more years of experience in an agency environment looking to take the next step up with running their own accounts. Fantastic communication skills are essential, as you’ll be client-facing, alongside a genuine curiosity and desire to grow your SEO knowledge and skills.

Key elements and skill requirements for this role:

  • Good understanding of the fundamentals of SEO – keyword research, technical, onsite optimisation, content, and link-building.
  • Experience in keyword research with familiarity with common SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, or similar.
  • Experience in understanding key metrics of SEO for reporting using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
  • Ability to conduct website audits from a technical SEO perspective, identifying key issues and prioritising accordingly.
  • Development of clear and results-driven content strategies and plans, collaborating with content creation teams and overseeing delivery.
  • Confidence in managing clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to different clients and industries.
  • Analytical mindset and dedication to results-driven approaches.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines, workload, clients, and partner expectations.
  • Strong commercial focus – we love working with individuals who are passionate about understanding all aspects of how our agency operates.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and engaging.
  • Experience working within an agency is a plus, as you’ll be managing several accounts, but it’s not essential. If you’re currently in-house and looking to move into agency life, we’d love to hear from you.

Package and benefits:

We believe in fostering a happy, dynamic working culture and offer the following:

  • Salary of £25,000 – £30,000, depending on experience.
  • 23 days flexible holiday per annum plus 3 days between Christmas & New Year and UK bank holidays (8 days per year).
  • Flexible remote working – we are highly flexible regarding how and where you perform your best work. We have an office in London where we meet to collaborate regularly, and are open to applications from around the UK.
  • Development and training opportunities in a supportive environment with mentorship from senior team members.

How to apply and interview process:

We are keen to fill this role as soon as possible, with interviews likely to be conducted in April 2025.

The application process:

  • Step One: Upon receipt of your application, you’ll receive an invitation to submit a short Loom video to introduce yourself and outline why you’d be a great fit for the role. You can be as creative as you like!
  • Step Two: If we feel your experience aligns well to the role, we’ll be in touch to arrange a brief call with our Head of SEO to discuss the role and your experience in more depth.
  • Step Three: Your final interview will involve a short-take-home task which you’ll receive in advance to present back to the Head of SEO and another senior team member. You’ll have the chance to ask plenty of questions about the role and agency to help you decide if the role’s right for you.

I don’t meet all the requirements, should I apply?

Research shows that underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet 100% of the listed job requirements. We also recognise that many people in SEO and marketing have varied career paths and experiences with many transferable skills. We deeply value individuals who bring fresh perspectives and new knowledge to our team. If you feel like you don’t “check all the boxes” just yet but are keen to learn and grow, we’d strongly encourage you to apply anyway. If you require accommodations during the hiring process, please get in touch and we’ll do our very best to support you in the process.
