Job Description: As a Content Writer at Lexigate, you will play a critical role in creating SEO-optimized content that drives traffic, increases engagement, and improves search engine rankings. You will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing high-quality content tailored to our clients’ target audiences and optimized for relevant keywords. Your work will directly impact the success of our clients’ SEO campaigns, making you an essential part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write original SEO content for landing pages and blog articles according to the Content Plan.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists and content strategists to develop content that aligns with clients’ SEO goals and overall marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with SEO Specialists to create SEO-optimized metadata and other on-page SEO content elements.
- Conduct keyword research to identify relevant terms and phrases to enhance content visibility in search engines.
- Optimize content using SEO best practices, including the strategic placement of keywords, meta descriptions, header tags, and internal links.
- Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure content remains competitive in search engine rankings.
- Analyze content performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms and make data-driven recommendations for content improvements.
- Assist in managing content calendars and ensure timely delivery of all content projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Content Writer, particularly in an SEO-focused role.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, including on-page optimization, keyword research, and content structuring.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and grammatically correct manner while adhering to SEO best practices.
- Experience with WordPress is an advantage.
- Strong research skills and the ability to produce content on a variety of topics.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in an SEO agency or digital marketing environment is a plus.
Mandatory Written Test: As part of the application process, all candidates are required to complete a written test. This will consist of:
- Writing a 700-word article on a topic we will provide, focusing on SEO optimization.
- Editing an already written article to improve its SEO performance and overall quality.
- Optimizing a small sample batch of meta data.
