About the Role
As a Content Engineer – you’ll help AirOps win with content. You’ll become an AirOps power user and lead our team in drinking our own champagne 🥂(or sparkling cider if you prefer).
You will blend strategy, technology, and creativity to build systems that amplify content production and quality, boost engagement, and accelerate growth.
You’ll work closely with our Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Solutions teams to build new content solutions and prove them out with AirOps own brand and growth. You’ll get the chance to build in public, showcasing what you build to the world, and you’ll take part in our earliest Content Engineering cohort-based training program that brings together the disciples of AI, marketing, and systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy
- Develop and execute scalable content strategies that increase organic traffic, leads, and revenue
- Architect structured content types, personalization techniques, and interactive experiences powered by AI
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to proactively identify opportunities and content gaps
- Connect our content strategy to our broader positioning and product launches
Content Engineering Evangelism
- Build-in-public (aka show don’t tell) how modern content and marketing teams should design and operate their content systems to win
- Lead workshops and webinars and serve as an evangelist for AirOps to showcase our content engineering expertise
AI & Workflow Automation
- Use AirOps to automate and scale content processes including research, creation, and refresh
- Continuously refine automation systems to enhance content quality, ensuring human oversight at key stages
Technical & SEO Expertise
- Define and implement site architecture, internal linking structures, schema strategies, and programmatic SEO practices
- Collaborate closely with our growth and marketing teams to align content with keyword clustering, user intent, and authoritative (E-E-A-T) principles
- Partner with developers to effectively integrate content systems within CMS platforms (e.g.,Webflow)
Performance Analysis & Optimization
- Implement comprehensive tracking using analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Hockeystack) to measure and optimize content performance
- Generate actionable insights to continuously refine strategies based on data-driven performance analytics and A/B testing
Influence and Collaboration
- Act as the central point of contact, aligning marketing, product, creative, and sales teams to achieve strategic content objectives, ensuring unique perspectives and tone of voice are represented in content
- Partner internally to extract valuable insights from analytics databases and reporting tools, translating data-driven research into deeply authoritative, expert content that resonates with target audiences and drives thought leadership
Qualifications
- Proven experience generating “winning content” as a content strategist, content marketer, SEO professional, or similar role emphasizing scalable system design
- Proficient in SEO concepts and delivering optimizations in production
- Demonstrated experience crafting effective AI prompts and integrating generative AI tools into content workflows
- Proficiency with tools such as AirOps, SEMrush, GA4, GSC, and CMS platforms.
- Experience implementing automation solutions with tools like Zapier, Clay, Make, or a background in programming
- Excellent presentation skills, with experience in leading workshops or having a “show-and-tell” persona on social platforms
