We don’t have long-term contracts, forcing us to put our clients first and get them results month after month.
The Role:
As an account manager, your role is to build a strong relationship with our clients. Most of our clients have worked with other SEO companies who have 1) not gotten them results, 2) communicated poorly, and 3) lacked transparency and been misleading.
Therefore, we have to go above & beyond to show our clients that we truly care about their business and success. Our clients pay us their hard-earned money every month to get them results, and we don’t take that lightly.
As an account manager for SEO Growth Partners, we want to be different than how other SEO companies have their account managers operate (reactive to put out fires vs. proactive to keep clients happy). We have weekly or bi-monthly communication with our clients, providing transparent data about how their campaign is going, answering their questions, and listening to feedback on the results they see on their end.
Your responsibilities:
- Communicate via email with clients to update them on project status, how things are going, and to get a “peek behind the curtain” to see how our work is impacting their business.
- “Interview” our clients as the subject matter experts so that our team of writers can write interesting and valuable content that aligns with clients’ knowledge and beliefs. For example, we may write a piece of content about “best stretches for lower back pain” – our team of writers are not experts on this so our account managers record an interview with our clients to guide the content.
- Onboard new clients to ensure they have a seamless and exciting experience in the first 30-60 days of working with us. This is the most important time of a new client’s relationship with us.
- Have strong SEO knowledge so that you can “speak the lingo” with clients and explain why we’re implementing the strategy that we’re doing, why it’s valuable for their business, etc.
- Communicate closely with our SEO strategists to articulate a client’s vision so that our team can turn it into reality.
- At the beginning of a new clients’ campaign, support basic SEO optimizations such as adding content to their Google Business Profile or recommending SEO changes on their website (we train you on this!)
Training Expectations:
- You will have 4 weeks of paid training before taking on your first client
Salary and Hours:
For the first 3 months, you will work 25 hours per week as an independent contractor.
After this initial probationary testing period, we’ll move you to full-time W-2 employment.
- $52,000 per year salary with bonus opportunities of up to 10% of annual salary. You’re eligible for a base salary raise once per year.
- After 3 years of successful employment, the expectation is that your base salary would be around $62,000 per year (with bonus, that adds up to $68,000+ all-in compensation).
- Expectation of ~40 hours per week and available during regular business hours to meet with clients (this is flexible – for example, if you have no scheduled meetings on a Wednesday then you can choose not to work on that Wednesday and work on Saturday instead, as long as it’s communicated ahead of time)
- The full week between Christmas and New Year’s off (paid)
- 8 days of PTO for year 1; 10 days of PTO for year 2; 12 days of PTO for year 3+
- All bank holidays off
