We’re looking for not only a stellar SEO practitioner, but also a leader who can build a strong SEO discipline across the organization and be a confident, knowledgeable voice in charting the future of our business.
As a marketing leader, you will work cross functionally with internal and external partners to provide with best-in-class SEO leadership, guidance and execution. You will lead the strategy creation and day-to-day execution of all things SEO, driving the local SEO, asurion.com / ubreakifix.com national and technical SEO strategy to maximize traffic and revenue opportunities. You will manage an internal SEO team as well as manage external agency partners. Last, you will represent Asurion as our SEO leader to majority of our 700+ uBreakIFix franchisee store owners on a regular basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the in-house local, national and technical SEO expert for internal and external stakeholders, including business stakeholders and franchisee owners, Product, Technology, Analytics, Content, Web Optimization and external agencies.
- Provide senior business stakeholders with clear, compelling communication of current search performance and plans for improving performance
- Proactively drive issue identification and analysis driving to root cause understanding and actions. Partner closely with analytics resources to execute
- Drive the SEO strategy roadmap and execution, focusing on both the technical and content optimization programs and building on current success with keen focus on evolving our program
- Have a deep understanding of how search engines like Google and Bing work, including algorithms changes and ranking factors that are used to determine top of search results for Local (Map Pack) and National
- Evolve an SEO program as SEO Center of Excellence that maximizes traffic and revenue opportunities across the business
- Help others learn and grow. You recognize that SEO can be a “black box” to others and you understand how to distill down key SEO concepts for others to understand.
- Serve as main SEO point of contact for specific business units. Answer general search related questions and issues from individuals
- Coach and develop a data-driven, results-oriented, best-in-class, SEO team
- Be the expert on the landscape of industry tools to audit, research, and analyze search data, and how to derive meaningful insights from what you uncover.
- Build SEO strategies that address the complexities of having multiple sites and domains that serve similar audiences.
- Experience preparing and presenting SEO performance and insights to executives
- Expert knowledge of SEO strategy (local and national) including and not limited to, on-site, off-site, local, GBP
- Experience using SEO to drive conversions and door swings for locations and service area businesses
- Collaborate with cross-channel partners, including Paid and stores, in support of holistic search strategies
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 10+ years of SEO experience (both technical and content), in-house or agency, with retail stores at scale experience
- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree a plus
- The ability to clearly and simply explain search performance and articulate a plan for improvement
- Strong team leadership, including providing frequent feedback, prioritization, and coaching in communication
- Deep working knowledge of Google Business Profile listings and data; for physical and service area businesses
- Demonstrated knowledge of hyper-local content and local ranking factors for physical locations and service area businesses
- A demonstrated track record of increasing rankings, traffic, revenue and door swings for local, while managing and executing SEO strategies and tactics
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale SEO programs as both a leader and individual contributor
- Understanding of broader digital landscape and SEOs role within the mix, with experience collaborating across channel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Strong Project Management skills
- In-depth experience with web analytics platforms: Google Analytics, Google Search Console/Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Business Profile Insights, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, etc
- Deep knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel and Powerpoint
