Digital Marketing Manager
As the Digital Marketing Manager at Iceberg Web Design, you’re not just joining a team—you’re stepping into a leading penguin role, where you bridge the gap between our dedicated digital marketing team and our customers. In this pivotal role, you will manage SEO and advertising campaigns, coordinate tasks across various digital marketing services, and ensure the successful and timely execution of our campaign initiatives.
Here, you’ll take the helm in communicating with clients, guiding Digital Marketing Specialists, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, results-driven digital marketing campaigns. Team Player
As a member of the Iceberg Web Design “penguin family,” you will contribute to various client campaigns as we provide top-notch customer service and work together to meet company goals. Additional tasks may include assisting our CSR in open support tickets, lending your organizational expertise to sales and marketing tasks related to digital marketing services, and joining your team members in the occasional Zoom happy hour or company-wide event.
Job Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Team Leadership and Development
- Motivate and lead the digital marketing team by providing training, guidance, and annual performance evaluations to ensure productivity and high morale;
- Collaborate with Iceberg’s CEO and the Head of Business Operations to hire new team members;
- Assess and provide guidance on digital marketing product offerings and deliverables;
- Set performance goals for digital marketing staff and implement performance improvement plans as necessary;
- Ensure time is being accurately tracked across the digital marketing department;
- Monitor revenue and growth from SEO accounts;
- Host weekly L10 meetings for Digital Marketing staff;
- Own Iceberg’s digital marketing processes, continuously improving both efficiency and quality;
- Collaborate with Iceberg’s Head of Production to ensure software licenses needed for digital marketing are purchased and updated;
- Implement processes, strategies, and software to maximize team performance.
Project Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for digital marketing clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationship management;
- Manage campaign tasks and timelines, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and time constraints;
- Conduct kickoff meetings with clients to define project goals, deliverables, and expectations;
- Oversee the development and management of all digital marketing client services;
- Host client meetings to discuss performance, new opportunities, and strategic adjustments;
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital marketing activities.
Client & Team Support
- Collaborate with internal team members and external contractors to complete campaign tasks, ensuring alignment with overall goals;
- Oversee client retention efforts, conducting regular check-ins to ensure client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement;
- Manage Google Ads and social media advertising campaigns, optimizing performance to maximize ROI;
- Assist with quality assurance checks of campaign materials, including content, SEO configurations, and ad placements.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Maintain strong, proactive communication with clients throughout the duration of each campaign;
- Ensure all digital marketing deliverables are on time, within scope, and on budget;
- Effectively manage team resources, delegating tasks and monitoring time tracking to ensure efficiency;
- Perform annual reviews for employees in the digital marketing department;
- Regularly communicate with Leadership, acting as a bridge between the Digital Marketing department and the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and best practices, including SEMRush, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Birdeye, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google My Business, and social media;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality;
- Experience managing and mentoring team members, with a focus on fostering growth and development;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Demonstrate time management, organization, and problem-solving skills;
- Excels at interpreting and solving complex issues, through team and customer collaboration and negotiation;
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Desire to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improved ways of working;
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and try new things.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within an agency environment;
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with Google Ads and Facebook Ads;
- 3-4 years of experience working in a remote or hybrid environment;
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience managing a team or direct reports;
- Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar management frameworks is a plus.

Time Commitment, Compensation, and Benefits
- Time Commitment: part time, hourly position with a minimum of 20 hours/week guaranteed.
- Pay starting at $33-36/hour, commensurate with your experience.
- 3 month performance review.
- Location: Our office is located in Anoka, Minnesota. Our team is currently working in a hybrid capacity. Please indicate your ability and preference to work in-office or remote. Include experience working remotely in your job application.
