POSITION: SEO Associate Manager

We are seeking an SEO Associate Manager to support the development and execution of SEO initiatives and assist with client communications. This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of SEO experience looking to grow their technical and strategic skills in a fast-paced agency environment. The SEO Associate Manager will work closely with the SEO Director and collaborate with team members across various departments.

About the role

  • Assist in the development and execution of SEO campaigns for clients, focusing on organic search growth.
  • Conduct SEO audits to identify technical issues and recommend improvements (site speed, Core Web Vitals, Schema, canonical tags, etc.).
  • Perform keyword research and on-site optimizations to align with Google’s best practices.
  • Support content gap analysis to identify opportunities for new content that drives organic rankings.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly SEO reporting, using data to uncover insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Search team to ensure alignment on campaigns, keyword strategies, and cross-channel opportunities.
  • Maintain client communication via email updates and calls, making SEO concepts accessible and actionable.
  • Stay updated on SEO trends, AI-based tools, and algorithm updates to provide fresh insights for clients and internal teams.

About you

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong analytical mindset.
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to new challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organized with solid project management skills, capable of meeting deadlines.

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency or in-house setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog.
  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts, including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, site migrations, and URL redirects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and reporting.
  • A basic understanding of how SEO integrates with other marketing channels like PPC and social media.
  • Bonus: Background in copywriting or content creation, with experience using AI-based tools for SEO and content generation.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range
$50,000—$75,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
