Position Overview: The Account Strategist role at Marketeering Group is a pivotal role responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing strategic partnerships with our clients. This role combines a deep understanding of digital marketing, particularly SEO, with exceptional client relationship skills to drive business growth and deliver outstanding results.

Metrics of Success: Reports to the Managing Director

  • Client Retention Rate 
  • Client Net Promoter Scores 
  • Monthly Managed Revenue 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
  • Understand client goals, challenges, and industry landscape to provide tailored digital marketing solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to review performance, provide strategic insights, and recommend optimizations.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and participate in pitch meetings.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Work with key members of the team to develop comprehensive strategies that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (SEO, content, design, development) to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and algorithm updates to keep clients ahead of the curve.

Solution Architecture:

  • Design and present customized digital marketing solutions, leveraging digital marketing best practices, to meet client needs.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to enhance client value.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, and others.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications

Your Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on SEO.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts that rely upon developing and implementing successful SEO and SEM strategies.
  • Managing and growing client accounts in a digital marketing agency.
  • Managing client relationships and delivering client-centric solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Guiding the team from the client goal setting process through project execution with clear, consistent, and goal-focused reporting on a regular basis.

Your Skills:

  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance, reporting information, and industry trends to extract actionable insights.
  • Proficient in creating detailed performance reports and using data to refine strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of comprehensive, data-driven digital marketing strategies.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for clients to enhance their digital presence and achieve business goals.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (SEO, content, design, development).
